ITAM

AI entitlement ingestion now uses LLM-based ingestion engine

Available for Flexera One IT Asset Management (ITAM) customers

Previously, our AI ingestion process relied on pre-trained models that required prior knowledge of document formats (POs, invoices, quotes, etc.) to extract data. While effective, this approach limited scalability and required manual intervention for new or unfamiliar formats.

With the new LLM-based ingestion engine, we’ve eliminated the need for pre-training. This AI-driven model is trained on a wide variety of document formats and can adapt dynamically to new and evolving layouts, without manual configuration.

Key benefits of LLM-based AI entitlement ingestion feature:

  • Reduced dependency—No need to pre-train for each document format
  • Reduced manual effort—Automates extraction of key data points, minimizing human input
  • Improved accuracy—High-precision attribute extraction meets strict accuracy benchmarks
  • Faster turnaround—Speeds up document processing, boosting operational efficiency
  • Future-ready scalability—Handles any vendor format, enabling rapid onboarding and flexibility
  • Cost efficiency—Cuts labor costs and reduces errors that could impact downstream processes

Flexera One IT Visibility

Expanded Software Evidence UI with installer, file and operating system evidence

We’ve introduced a new tabbed experience on the Flexera One IT Visibility Software Evidence page (Applications & Evidence > IT Visibility Software > Software Evidence). Customers can now easily navigate between:

  • Installer Evidence (default view)—Displays evidence counts split into All, Active, Irrelevant and Unrecognized, now with Installation Path details included
  • File Evidence—Shows All and Active (Technopedia mapped) Evidence counts directly in the UI
  • OS evidence—Includes All, Active (Technopedia Mapped) and Unrecognized Evidence counts for a comprehensive OS overview

This enhancement empowers you to filter, track and manage evidence data with greater clarity and control, bringing full transparency to your software inventory. Installation paths for Installer Evidence, OS Evidence and recognized File Evidence are now available directly within the UI, reducing manual effort and reliance on external queries.

Note: OS and File Evidence are now available on the Software Evidence page. Flexera will extend them to Devices, Inventory Normalization Insights and Private Catalog in future updates. We’ll also add support for irrelevant evidence in an upcoming release. Please note that the Software Evidence dataset accessible via the Queries API and Data Exports currently includes only Installer Evidence and doesn’t contain OS or File Evidence.

You may notice changes in Active counts in evidence as we continue to improve and streamline the underlying behavior for greater accuracy and consistency.

This update ensures a complete, accurate and trusted view of your software environment, enabling better lifecycle management, compliance and risk decision-making in one place.
