As Potential Recession Looms, Flexera State of ITAM Report Shows Wasted Spend Remains High Across the IT Estate

The report enables IT leaders to benchmark their ITAM practices and results against those of other organizations. It explores the thinking of 500 global professionals who manage and participate in ITAM, SAM and HAM processes in medium and large organizations of at least 1,000 employees.
Flexera and nine other vendors were evaluated for The Forrester Wave™ based on 26 criteria grouped into three categories: current offering, strategy, and market presence. In the evaluation, Flexera received the top score in the current offering category. In addition, Flexera had the highest possible scores in the product vision, access and permissions, resource discovery and cloud platform support, billing, cloud visibility, cost optimization, partner ecosystem, and commercial model criteria.
Flexera Builds on Industry-Leading Security Initiatives by Hiring Mike Gibson as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
Gibson is a cybersecurity industry veteran with a proven track record of protecting the interests of software development and SaaS companies. He comes to Flexera from Pluralsight, where he built out the security organization for their online learning platform. Mike has also led enterprise security for Genesys, guiding the department through numerous acquisitions. Gibson started his career at Flexera, then called InstallShield.

Survey respondents are 501 IT executives working in large enterprises with 2,000 or more employees, headquartered in North America and Europe, encompassing industries such as financial services, retail, e-commerce and industrial products. More than two-thirds are vice president or higher, and 80 percent work in IT.
Flexera’s certification is driven by an employee engagement survey that measured the extent to which employees across the organisation reported a consistently great workplace experience, considering factors such as innovation, inclusivity, company values and the effectiveness of its leaders.
