Innovation area: IT Asset Management

ITSM Enhancer ServiceNow certification for Zurich release

For organizations using Snow Atlas and Snow License Manager for software asset management, they can now use the ITSM Connector with the ServiceNow Zurich update.

Why it matters: API connections sometimes break when new versions are released. Because ITSM Enhancer is certified by ServiceNow, the connection has been tested for this latest release. This removes errors for ITAM professionals integrating normalized and enriched data into their ServiceNow CMDB.

Innovation area: Cloud Cost Optimization

Cloud Cost Optimization (CCO) now brings FinOps cost transparency to AI and data clouds.

Key highlights for AI- and PaaS-related spending transparency

For AI-related spending, customers and partners using CCO now gain more visibility through:

  • Custom field name direct ingestion: Users can bring in custom field names—such as “AI service” or “workload type”—directly into CCO for more accurate financial reporting.
  • Granular categorization: “AI service” and “workload type” are now tracked separately, supporting detailed cost management.
  • Streamlined expense categorization: Category mapping simplifies how services are tracked, enabling targeted optimization and easier management for FinOps teams.
  • AI cost segregation: AI-specific expenses are separated from overall cloud spend, with a clear “AI Spend” section for easy monitoring.

For data clouds and PaaS (e.g., Databricks), CCO offers:

  • Job-level tracking and custom metadata tagging: Move beyond project-level attribution to see which workloads, teams, or business units drive costs—even in dynamic, shared environments.
  • Integrated PaaS dashboards: Actionable insights help FinOps leaders monitor trends, track optimization efforts, and align spending with business goals.
  • Governance over time: Optimization actions are tracked over time, supporting accountability and ongoing FinOps initiatives.

Why it matters

As AI adoption grows, organizations need transparency to control costs, reduce waste, and foster accountability. CCO’s new features help teams take ownership of spending, prepare for increased AI and data cloud workloads, and reinvest savings into innovation—turning cost management into a strategic advantage.
