Track carbon, water, and electricity across AI models, workloads and tokens
The new AI Sustainability experience in the Cloud Sustainability dashboard reveals the financial and environmental impact of AI services running in connected AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud accounts. It helps organizations understand not only AI costs, but also the environmental impact associated with that consumption.
Feature: View spend, carbon emissions, electricity consumption, and water usage side by side for AI services appearing on connected cloud-provider bills. Results can be attributed to the individual model, billing meter, and token type, including input, output, and cached tokens when the provider’s meter data supports that classification.
Why it matters: Cost and environmental impact can be distributed differently across AI models and token types. Analyzing these measures together gives FinOps and engineering teams a complete view to make better-informed decisions on their AI workloads.
Availability: Available now to Cloud Sustainability customers as a Cloud Cost Optimization add-on or standalone subscription. No additional configuration is required.
