Open Source Security and Compliance Expert, Jeff Luszcz, Speaks at Open Source Software 2016 – from Compliance to Cooperation

Itasca, IL - Dec 15, 2016 - Flexera Software is presenting at Open Source Software (OSS) 2016 – from Compliance to Cooperation in San Francisco, California on December 21.  The program will explore the unique legal issues facing the open source and free software community.  Faculty will discuss the challenges developers are facing, the variety of licensing options when developing and using OSS, compliance with law and the terms of those licenses, and recent developments in the open source community that are changing how open source and free software is being used around the world.

Topics include:

  • Keep current on community enforcement norms and the latest enforcement activity
  • Understand how patents and trademarks interact with open source licensing
  • Hear best practices for compliance with OSS licenses
