Copenhagen, Denmark - Aug 24, 2015 - Since the launch of its Partner Program in 2013, Secunia, a leading provider of IT security solutions for vulnerability management, has been building a robust channel. Throughout 2015 a number of Value Added Resellers (VARs) specializing in providing security solutions for UK organizations have been signed in the UK and Ireland. VARs are an integral part of the Secunia eco system and the company has formed new partnerships with several leading security specialists in 2015. Through partnership with these companies, Secunia continues to extend its footprint into the UK and Ireland market. Secunia is committed to the channel, and anticipates recruiting more value added resellers and continuing to develop mutually beneficial relationships with channel partners.
Overview of Secunia’s 2015 VAR partnerships in the UK and Ireland:
Blue Cube Security
Blue Cube Security provides best-of-breed IT security solutions in all the key areas of Enterprise IT security. After conducting a review of their solution portfolio, Blue Cube Security identified a gap in their portfolio for a strong patch management solution. Secunia was selected for its breadth of coverage of platforms and applications, also for its excellent credentials as a solution of choice for many leading application vendors. The agreement with Blue Cube covers security patching products from the Secunia portfolio.
Rob Swainson, Sales Director at Blue Cube Security, commented; "At Blue Cube, we believe that creating a strong security posture starts with building a solid foundation. Patch management is a fundamental element of good cyber hygiene. By automating this vital but often overlooked area of security, Blue Cube can assist customers in identifying and prioritising critical system vulnerabilities which are often exploited as the first point of penetration into an organization."
Bytes Security Partnership
Bytes Security Partnership (SP), the network security specialist arm within the Bytes Group, specializes in providing solutions and consultancy in security products and technologies. They are an authorized reseller for VIM and CSI.
John Gilbertson, Managing Director at Bytes Security Partnership, said; "This new agreement with Secunia means that we are now able to support customers who have an increasing awareness of the now much publicized area of vulnerabilities. Secunia’s expertise and products are a perfect fit in our portfolio to meet this need and complementary to the other core technologies that we deliver."
The Secunia product set provides Bytes SP with a solution to meet the vulnerability management requirements of its customers, through application and operating system patching.
Foursys is a network security VAR that has been providing IT security products, services, solutions and support to organizations for more than two decades. The agreement with Foursys covers the full Secunia product range including vulnerability management, security patching and PC protection. All products will be sold and implemented by Foursys Security Consultants, into NHS, government, education, SMB and enterprise organizations.
Secunia was selected as a best-of-breed solution, based on its technical merits, channel model and interoperability with Foursys' product portfolio. James Miller, Managing Director at Foursys, commented; "Secunia extends and complements our existing security product portfolio, and directly meets market demand as organizations become increasing aware of the necessity for vulnerability and patch management within the technology stack. Being able to quickly and easily security patch applications on hundreds or even thousands of machines is a real benefit to our clients and can significantly enhance the security of the whole network."
Leading cyber security specialist SBL, established in 1987, is widely recognized as the market leader in Information Security. The Secunia agreement with SBL covers the vulnerability management and security patching products from the Secunia portfolio. In addition, VIM will be included in SBL’s innovative DOBUS™ platform. Secunia products will be sold and implemented by SBL security specialists into central Government, defence and military sectors as well as SMB and enterprise organizations looking to enhance their security posture.
Scott Cattaneo, Commercial Manager at SBL, commented; "Secunia fitted our requirement for an exciting technology proficient in providing global intelligence and context aware solutions commensurate with the profound changes within the cyber security threat landscape. SBL comprehensively evaluated the technology, plus we received excellent customer feedback. These two factors were significant in selecting Secunia as a technology partner. We believe Secunia offers something different and of great value to the SBL customer base."
