The Summit Award honors publishers that deliver software applications that maximize value for their customers as well as their business, and honors enterprises that have implemented software applications to maximize the value from their software purchases. More specifically, publisher nominees will be scored based on such areas as software evaluation, pricing and licensing, packaging, installation and distribution, controlling piracy and the ability of the publisher to increase the lifetime value of a product. Enterprises will be judged in the areas of usage assessment, maintenance, preparation, testing and deployment, managing and servicing licenses and entitlements and software expense optimization, among others.
