Schaumburg, IL - Jul 8, 2009 - Acresso Software today announced a new, multi-year OEM agreement with Avocent's LANDesk division to provide a free limited version of the AdminStudio application readiness solution to users of the latest version of the LANDesk Management Suite. Available today, the AdminStudio Limited Edition for LANDesk Management Suite enables IT administrators to capture information about applications, customize those applications for their organization's needs, and hand off the prepared applications to the LANDesk Management Suite 8.8 for deployment. The end result is reduced total cost of ownership for desktop management in the enterprise.
Over 10,000 companies around the world use AdminStudio to manage application readiness, OS migrations, and new application rollouts for traditional (MSI) and virtualized environments. Software deployments and OS migrations are among the riskiest functions of IT. Deploying a poorly prepared or tested software package can crash mission-critical applications, slow productivity, and send help desk costs soaring. The AdminStudio Limited Edition for LANDesk Management Suite gives those customers the automated tools they need to ensure MSI packages deploy successfully. The AdminStudio Limited Edition for LANDesk Management Suite includes basic functionality to help IT organizations prepare applications, including:
